The Fleming Bell Console model is the rarest of pieces in Lloyd's collection and is part of the display at the museum.   This radio was a 5 tube and featured a Static Modulator the forerunner of the Noise Blanker.  Bell also manufactured a Baby Grand style model which featured solid oak inlaid with ivory.

This console model is one of the rarest pieces in the Lloyd Swackhammer collection.

The Invader

The Rogers B eliminator manufactured by E.S (Ted) Rogers Senior in the mid 20s. This device allowed early radios to operate without the need for the "B" batteries which provided the high voltage required for the tubes.  The literature of the day stated the Eliminator carried a list price of $60 and simply was plugged into an electric light bulb socket.  At this time in the development of electrical apparatus there were no wall outlets as we enjoy in today's home.
A very early Pocket Radio manufactured in 1933 by International Kadette.  It carried a list price of $12.50 including tubes and was displayed being slipped into a side jacket pocket.
